Why Your 50% Sapior Voucher Shows Expired—and How to Fix It

A quick, no-fluff guide to understanding Sapior voucher expiry logic, checking your redemption window, and re-opening access when a valid 50% voucher appears expired.

If you opened your inbox, clicked a Sapior launch or partner offer, and the billing page says **“expired”**, the first thing to know is that this is usually a redemption-window or account-state issue—not a broken code.

The short answer

A Sapior 50% voucher shows expired when the code was already redeemed, the UTC expiry timestamp has passed, or the code is being applied to a different account/workspace than the one that received it.

Why a valid-looking voucher can show expired

1. You are comparing your local time with UTC

Sapior expires promotional vouchers at `23:59:59 UTC` on the stated date. If you are in a timezone behind UTC, the date on the email can still be “today” locally while the code has already expired. This is the most common cause for a code that looks valid but refuses to apply.

2. The voucher is single-use and already redeemed

Sapior vouchers are single-use. If you previously started checkout, applied it to a different workspace, or used it in another browser session, the code will show expired instead of “already applied.” The billing system does not surface redemption history directly in the checkout error state.

3. You are signed in with a different account

A voucher tied to an email, a partner campaign, or an approved workspace will not apply to a separate login. If you use multiple email addresses or SSO identities, switch to the account that originally received the voucher.

4. The promotion was capped or revoked

Some campaigns have a limited number of redemptions or are valid only for specific plans, regions, or launch cohorts. Once the campaign pool is exhausted, the code can show expired even if the printed date is still valid.

What to check first

Open the original voucher email and look at the **sent date and expiry date**, then convert the expiry to UTC.

Sign in with the exact email address that received the offer.

Open **Settings → Billing** in the workspace where you want to use the voucher.

Try a private/incognito window to rule out stale cached checkout state.

Do not create multiple workspaces to “test” the code—each test can consume the single-use redemption.

How to recover a voucher that still shows expired

If you have checked the UTC window and the account/workspace match, but the code still shows expired:

1. Copy the full voucher code exactly as written.

2. Take a screenshot of the expired error and the voucher email header.

3. Send it to Sapior support with the email address and workspace name.

Support can inspect the code’s redemption and expiry events. If the voucher was unused and failed because of a billing-side race condition, they can re-issue or extend it. If it was already redeemed or expired in UTC, there is usually no way to reactivate the same code.

Developer note

This is the same time-bound, single-use coupon logic used by most modern billing systems. [Stripe’s coupon documentation](https://stripe.com/docs/billing/coupons), for example, expires coupons at a UTC timestamp and treats redemption as one-shot. That model reduces abuse and keeps campaign economics predictable, but it also means “expired” can appear earlier than a local calendar would suggest.

For current Sapior discounts, keep an eye on the email header or the billing page—not just the marketing date.
