Can I Combine Discounts on Sapior? Our Stance on Stacking
We break down Sapior’s discount policy—whether you can stack promo codes, volume discounts, and startup credits—and why we keep it simple.
The short answer
No, you cannot combine multiple discounts or promotional offers on a single Sapior account. Only one discount can be applied per workspace at a time. This policy keeps billing predictable and fair for all teams.
Why we don’t let you stack discounts
We’ve seen the confusion that discount stacking creates in other developer tools. For instance, [Vercel’s pricing FAQ](https://vercel.com/pricing) explicitly states that discounts on Pro and Enterprise plans cannot be combined with other credits. Similarly, [Linear](https://linear.app/pricing) applies the highest applicable discount rather than stacking multiple. We follow the same principle: clarity over complexity.
By limiting discounts to a single offer, we avoid hidden pricing gotchas. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying—no spreadsheets required.
What about startup credits and referral bonuses?
**Startup credits** (like our Sapior for Startups program) are a form of discount. If you already have a startup credit applied, adding a coupon code would replace the existing discount, not stack. The system automatically applies the discount that gives you the greatest value during checkout.
**Referral credits** are added as account balance, not as a discount percentage. They can be used alongside a discount because they’re deducted from the final invoice after the discount is applied. So yes, you can use referral credits together with your single active discount.
How to check what discount is active
1. Go to your [workspace billing settings](https://sapior.dev/billing).
2. Look for the **Discounts** section. It displays the active discount name and remaining value.
3. If you try to apply a new code, Sapior will warn you that it will replace the current one.
