AWS SAA-C03 Credly Badge Not Received? Here’s Exactly What to Do
Missing your AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate badge on Credly? Here's why SAA-C03 badge delivery is delayed and how to claim it without waiting on support.
If you passed the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) and your Credly badge still hasn’t arrived, you’re not alone. The badge is not issued by the test center at the moment you pass. AWS first records the exam result, then sends badge eligibility to Credly, and Credly sends a claim email to the address on your AWS Certification account.
Why your SAA-C03 badge feels delayed
The gap between “pass” and badge delivery is usually a processing window, not a problem with your result. According to [AWS digital badges documentation](https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certification-digital-badges/), digital badge claims through Credly can take up to five business days after you pass the exam. That clock often starts after the exam results are formally posted to your AWS Certification account, not the exact minute you leave the test center.
The most common causes reported by candidates are:
The badge claim email went to an old address.
The AWS Certification account and Credly account use different email addresses.
The Credly email landed in spam, Promotions, or another tab.
A weekend or holiday pushed the five-business-day window past the expected date.
Pearson VUE or PSI delayed the exam result sync to AWS.
The actual badge delivery flow
Understanding the handoff helps you know which system to check.
1. You pass SAA-C03 at Pearson VUE or PSI.
2. The exam delivery provider sends the result to AWS.
3. AWS Certification posts the pass result to your certification profile.
4. AWS sends badge eligibility to Credly.
5. Credly emails you a badge claim link.
6. You accept the badge, and it appears in your Credly dashboard and public profile.
If step 2 or 3 is delayed, Credly cannot send anything yet. If step 4 is delayed, your pass may be visible on AWS but not on Credly.
Troubleshooting checklist
Start with the lowest-effort checks before opening a support ticket.
1. Confirm your result is actually posted
Log in to your [AWS Certification account](https://aws.amazon.com/certification/) and verify the SAA-C03 exam shows a pass. If it still says “pending” or does not appear, the issue is between the exam provider and AWS. Wait until the status flips before troubleshooting Credly.
2. Check the email address on your AWS Certification account
The badge goes to the email in your AWS Certification profile, not necessarily the one you used for Pearson VUE. Many missing-badge cases come from a mismatch here. If the profile has an old employer email or a typo, update it and contact AWS Training and Certification support to have the badge reissued.
3. Search every inbox folder
Search for “Credly” and “AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate badge” across all email accounts you might have used. Check spam, Promotions, Social, Corporate, and Inbox tabs. Credly claim emails can expire, so don’t let it sit unopened.
4. Log in to Credly directly
Go to Credly and sign in with the same email that AWS has on file. Check the “Not accepted” and “Received” badges sections. You may find the badge waiting even if the email disappeared.
5. Wait five business days
AWS policy allows up to five business days for badge delivery. If you passed on a Friday, Wednesday may be a more realistic delivery date than Tuesday because weekends don’t count.
6. Contact AWS Training and Certification support
If five business days have passed and the problem isn’t an email mismatch, open a support case. Include your exam date, registration ID, the email on your AWS Certification profile, and a screenshot of the pass result. AWS support is the best route for reissuing the badge because they control the AWS-to-Credly handoff.
If your Credly account already exists under another email
This is one of the most common snags. You may have a public Credly profile under a personal email, while AWS sent the badge to a work email. The fix is not to accept the badge from the wrong account and transfer it later. Instead, create or access a Credly account with the AWS profile email first, accept the badge there, then use Credly’s account merge or contact Credly support if you need to consolidate profiles.
Do you need the badge to prove certification?
No. Employers can verify your certification through AWS, and your AWS Certification account shows the pass and score report. The Credly badge is a shareable convenience. If you need proof immediately, share a screenshot of your AWS pass status or the score report while the badge is being reissued.
The short version
If your SAA-C03 badge is missing, do not panic and do not assume the pass was invalid. Check the email address on your AWS Certification account, search for “Credly,” log in to Credly, and wait five business days. If the badge still hasn't appeared, contact AWS Training and Certification support and ask for a badge reissue with your exam details attached.
