Red Hat's RHCSA is a performance-based exam. You sit in front of a live RHEL system and complete real administration tasks within a time limit. The objectives cover the OS layer: filesystems, partitioning, users and groups, SELinux, service management, networking, containers, and boot repair.

RHCSA is narrower in product surface but deeper in operational consequences. A wrong SELinux context or a broken fstab entry is not a multiple-choice mistake; it is a system that will not boot.
