AWS Certification Maintenance: How Long Does It Really Take?
AWS certifications are valid for three years. Here is the real time commitment for recertification, from study hours to exam-day logistics.
The short answer
AWS does not use continuing education credits or annual fees to maintain certifications. An AWS certification is active for three years from the date you pass. To maintain it, you take the current version of the same exam — or, for many paths, a higher-level exam — before it expires.

How AWS certification maintenance actually works

What changes after you recertify
